DiMarco and Murgatroyd, despite his hearing impairment found a way to communicate with one another in order to stay in sync while putting on a great show. How did they do it you ask? ABC News stated that DiMarco would watch for visual signs from his partner while Murgatroyd conveyed dance steps through various hand squeezes during their routines. By doing this, the duo was able to perform their dances with excellence while dazzling all those who were watching.
While the competition was still cutthroat, we can say for sure that Nyle DiMarco didn’t let his hearing impairment get in the way of reaching success.
